One of the things we hear most often from first-time guests to Papa’s Pumpkin Patch goes something like this: you are a LOT more than just a pumpkin patch! Truth is, that warms our hearts. It also reminds us that we better let you what there really is to do on a visit to Papa’s Pumpkin Patch.

First off: the 2018 season is from Sunday, Sept. 9 through Saturday, Oct. 20. We are open from 12-7 pm daily. We are weather dependent so if you’re traveling a good distance, it’s always best to double check our website or Facebook page. When the weather is questionable, we post by 11 am our intentions for the day.

Next, we’ve definitely got pumpkins…more than a dozen varieties each season. That means you’ll find tall ones and small ones, orange and white ones. We’ve got smooth pumpkins and warty pumpkins; pumpkins great for carving and others great for baking. We haul more than 300,000 pounds of pumpkins into the yards during the season!

And then, you’ll find all kinds of harvest-related produce like several varieties of squash and thousands of colorful gourds. We’ve got straw bales of differing sizes and corn stalks, broom corn and decorative corn to complete your fall display.

What REALLY gets guests excited is all of the free activities you’ll find at Papa’s. For example, we have a log gym, a nature trail, Papa’sville wooden play structures, three giant corn cribs, the infamous bale mazes, yard games (think 3′ tall chess pieces), and lots of great photo opportunities like the Great Pumpkin’s Chair and Billy Bob the Cornstalk Horse. All of these activities are free and open every day. We also offer extra activities for families on Thursday evenings (5-7 pm)  and Saturdays and Sundays (12-6 pm).
