You’ve asked for years if Papa’s Pumpkin Patch has fresh apples available, and each time our answer has had to be, “Sorry, we don’t.” This fall, Papa can proudly answer, “YES!” since we planted the first four apple trees in a section of the patch that will grow to be Papa’s Apple Orchard.

We planted Haralred, Northern Lights, Hazen and Honeycrisp trees from Prairie View Landscaping. We aren’t sure when they were “born,” but we do know we have apples setting on three of the four trees right now! It may be only a few dozen this first year, but Papa looks forward to offering a variety of apple-based products (like caramel apples, apple sauce, apple butter) in the years to come.
