Not once, not twice, but three times today we were reminded why Papa’s Pumpkin Patch is one of the “Coolest Pumpkin Patches in the Country.” USA Today may have recognized Papa’s as a cool pumpkin patch, but the truth is: it’s our guests that make Papa’s really special and here’s why.

A gentleman came through the sales area today. He had a couple of pumpkins and a wad full of one dollar bills. His total was $5. When we counted out five $1 bills and handed the rest back to him, his response was priceless. He said, “I’d like to pay it forward like the young girl did a while back at Papa’s.” (You may remember we had a wonderful ‘pay it forward’ experience with a young girl earlier this season that we shared on our Facebook page.)

Later in the afternoon, a woman came up to the ticket booth and handed over three activity tickets. She told Papa, “I’d like to give these back and pay it forward for someone else today.”

Just a little while later, another woman came to the ticket booth with a whole string of tickets left over from a birthday party. She said, “I’d like to leave these with you for someone else to enjoy everything at Papa’s like we did today.”

Not once, not twice, but three times in one day you — our guests — chose to pay it forward for others. That’s what makes Papa’s the coolest pumpkin patch ever in our minds! Thank YOU.
