A cooler, wetter August has made for a late harvest at Papa’s Pumpkin Patch. That means almost daily we are getting more produce. Today, we unloaded our most popular varieties of squash: buttercup and spaghetti.
We also have acorn squash, and we expect to get hubbard, carnival, butternut and turban in the next two weeks. We should also be able to harvest decorative corn, gourds and some of our larger pumpkin varieties.
The weather since Papa opened has been wonderful, and it looks like our temperatures will stay in the 70s and low 80s for the rest of the week. It’s perfect for a visit to the country…perfect for a visit to Papa’s Pumpkin Patch!
We hope to see you soon,
Papa
