It’s Take Your Breathe Away Weather!

fuzzy horsesOMGosh! Papa’s horses are sure glad they have heavy winter coats because it’s been more than brisk these last couple of days. It’s Take Your Breathe Away Weather!

The good news is that opening day for Papa’s Polar Patch — Thursday, Dec. 26 — looks like it will be in the high teens and it should hit the 20s for the weekend. That’s about perfect temps for a polar patch.

Papa’s Polar Patch will be open Dec. 26 through Jan. 5 from 12-5 pm daily. The polar patch is in the same location as Papa’s Pumpkin Patch: 5001 Fernwood Drive, Bismarck. children by bonfireThe big red barn is now converted to Papa’s warming house, complete with a fireplace, concessions and the makings for s’mores to roast over the bonfire (outside, of course).

There’s loads of free family fun with the bale obstacle course still in place; two slide mountains, the castle of caves, Papa’sville, a zoomin’ zip line (right in the back yard), and for a small fee — horse-drawn sleigh rides and old-fashioned sled rides.

For the first time this polar patch season, Papa is offering a group rate for 10 people or more. Call Papa’s ahead of time and book your group visit; you will receive three free tickets with each admission of $5/person! If you have a house full of relatives visiting for the holidays and you need something crazy fun for them, call ahead before your visit to Papa’s and schedule a time for your group. When you and the rest of your group arrives, you will pay $5/person in the group and get 3 FREE tickets for each person in the family/group. You can use the tickets for sleigh rides, sled rides or concessions.
