Give Papa a few cooler mornings and evenings, and he starts to feel Fall, think Fall and get excited for Papa’s Pumpkin Patch! Just think: 35 days — 5 weeks from today — at noon — Papa’s will be open for the 2014 season.
We’ve been visiting with our growers, and all of the crops look good this year. The pumpkins have set well and the smaller varieties are starting to turn. The rain these last several days is wonderful for the corn maze, and the oats for straw bales big and small is turning golden.
During the next few weeks before we open, Papa and the family will be finishing up new attractions for the season. This week, we are grateful to be one of 30+ projects for the United Day of Caring. We will welcome a team of 75 volunteers on Wednesday, Aug. 13, and they will be working on some very cool stuff.
We’d never wish time to pass quickly so we hope you’ll enjoy every minute of summer that remains. And as soon as school kicks back into gear, we look forward to welcoming you at Papa’s Pumpkin Patch.
See you soon!
